Regular meetings of the club are held at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Hardin County Courthouse in Kenton, Ohio. Monthly club meetings are held in Veteran's Hall on the first floor of the courthouse, providing plenty of space for members and visitors as well as audio and video equipment for programs and presentations.
Aside from conducting the business of the club, meetings are an occasion for members discuss their shared interest in astronomy, take in or participate in a program or talk, educate and learn, share their observations and experiences, socialize, network, and help develop and progress the club to better serve members and surrounding community.
Many of us look forward to club meetings as it's an occasion for us to catch up with friends and acquaintances who share our interest, while also allowing us to use our professional skill sets to help shape and steer the club. It's also a great excuse to "talk shop" and get excited about astronomy news.
Observing may occur at locations throughout Hardin County where individuals or businesses graciously offer their property to benefit an evening of stargazing. The club does not yet have a dedicated observing location, but it is definitely on our list of achievements we aim for. Consider joining us to help fulfill this goal!
